ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Devon Cavanaugh won in singles but that was the only victory that UNC Asheville was able to get as Coastal Carolina downed the Bulldogs 6-1 in Big South Conference women's tennis action Saturday afternoon at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.

Cavanaugh, playing at #3 flight, won easily as she downed Caitlyn Brooksbank of Coastal Carolina, 6-0, 6-1. The Chanticleers were able to claim the doubles point as they won all three matches.

CCU then won five of six singles matches with straight set wins.

The Bulldogs are in action next on Saturday, April 2 when they host Charleston Southern.
