Gardner-Webb Defeats UNC Asheville in Women's Tennis, 7-0

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team battled hard but lost close matches throughout the day as homestanding Gardner-Webb recorded a 7-0 victory over the Bulldogs in Big South Conference women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon.
Asheville had two singles matches go three sets but just could not get a victory on the day. Devon Cavanaugh and Zoe Hamel took their opponents to three sets before falling.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday at home when they host Coastal Carolina at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center starting at 10 a.m.
