The Bulldogs (1-2) will host Augusta State University on Friday at 1 p.m. On Saturday, Asheville hosts Appalachian State starting at 3 p.m.
Lise Gregory's team has been short-handed for the early part of the year with just five players as injuries have hit Asheville. The Bulldogs have still been quite competitive as they knocked off North Carolina Central last Sunday, 4-3 and narrowly lost to Davidson two weeks ago, 4-3.
"We're playing some good tennis in the first part of the season," stated Gregory. "We just want to get healthy and have a full line-up for each match. Our team is glad to be at home for a couple of matches."
Asheville is being led in the first part of the season by senior Stephanie Schon. Schon is unbeaten this season in three singles matches and she's won both doubles matches.
