Women's Tennis to Compete at Elon This Weekend

ELON, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team gets back to the courts this weekend when the Bulldog netters compete in the Elon Invitational. Action starts today and will run through Sunday.
"We haven't played competition in a few weeks so this will be a wonderful test for our girls this weekend at Elon," stated Asheville coach Lise Gregory. "We have a young team and last month when we had our first tournament we had some players with first-match jitters. Hopefully, we've learned from that experience and will be better for it this weekend."
Senior Devon Cavanaugh played extremely well at last month's UNC Asheville Invitational. She advanced to the finals of her flight. Cavanaugh didn't play in the finals to rest an injury from last year.
"Devon played quite well last month and we expect her to have a big senior year," added Gregory.
