Bulldogs Have Two Players & Doubles Team Get to Finals

Women's Tennis Has Solid Showing at Elon

ELON, N.C. - The doubles team of Devon Cavanaugh and Emily McNall captured the consolation round of the A-1 Doubles flight to highlight play for UNC Asheville at the Elon Invitational this weekend at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

The duo lost in the first round to a team from USC Upstate on Friday but bounced back to win both of their matches. They defeated a team from Western Carolina 8-4 and then slipped past a team from North Carolina Central in a tiebreaker at 9-8.

In singles action, Zoe Hamel and freshman Amryn Soldier each reached the semifinals of their respective flights before falling. Hamel competed in the A-1 singles flight, while Soldier was in the A-2 singles flight.
