ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Tennis Team received the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team Award for the third straight year on Tuesday. The award is given for a team GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The Bulldogs, under the direction of head coach Lise Gregory, were one of just 54 teams in Division I to be honored.

Asheville had five players receive the ITA Scholar-Athlete award, given to student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the year. The following Bulldogs were honored: Louise Bottomley, Sarah Brinkley, Tania Mateva, Nicole Schon and Stephanie Schon.
