The Bulldogs (14-7, 4-3 BSC) just played the Highlanders on Sunday and knocked off Radford on the road, 5-2. Asheville's 14 victories are the most by the women's team since the 1989 season when the Bulldogs captured 15 wins.
Junior Britney Cloer leads the Asheville attack with a 13-4 overall singles record. She's 4-2 in league play. Senior Louise Bottomley has posted 12 wins in singles and has a 3-2 worksheet against BSC foes. Sophomore Devon Cavanaugh has posted an 11-5 singles record and is also 4-2 against BSC opponents.
The Bulldogs doubles team of Leslie Smith and Stephanie Schon have been tough to beat this season. The duo have posted a 16-5 record at #1 flight and have gone 4-3 in league matches.
If Asheville wins on Thursday, the Bulldogs would face top-seeded Charleston Southern on Friday at 9 a.m. The Lady Bucs won the regular-season title and earned a bye into the semifinals.
