Women's Tennis Wins 13th Match of the Year by Downing N. Georgia, 7-0

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team played their final home match on Tuesday and won in style as the Bulldogs defeated North Georgia, 7-0 at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.
Asheville improved its record to 13-7 and posted a victory for the 11th time in the last 14 matches. The Bulldogs had four seniors playing their final home match and all were victorious on the day.
Senior Leslie Smith won a hard-fought match at #1 singles, 6-4 and 7-5. She was down 5-3 in the second set but battled back to win the final four games to earn her 11th victory of the year. Senior Louise Bottomley continued her impressive season with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at #6 singles.
In doubles, Sarah Brinkley and Tania Mateva played together as seniors and won 8-4 in their match.
Asheville plays its final regular season match at Big South foe Radford on Sunday.
