ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville won all six singles matches and earned the doubles point as the Bulldogs cruised past North Carolina A&T, 7-0 in women's college tennis action Tuesday afternoon at the Crowne Plaza Tennis Center.
Asheville (6-4) had only one singles match go three sets. Leslie Smith had to go three sets before slipping past Aggie all-conference performer Winnie Quick, 7-5, 4-6, 10-2 at #1 flight.
The Bulldogs continue their busy week with a match at Western Carolina on Wednesday starting at 2 p.m. Asheville returns home to play two home matches this weekend. Lise Gregory's team battles future Big South Conference foe Campbell on Friday and then hosts league rival Presbyterian College Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs have won four straight matches.
