ASHEVILLE, N.C.?Women's Tennis won its second Student Athlete Advisory Committee Bulldog Bash Competition Title this year narrowly defeating defending champion volleyball for the annual award.

Women's tennis won the inaugural championship in 2007. The competition consists of attendance at Bulldog Bashes and factors in the percentage of athletes in the Athletic Director's 3.0 Club.

It was a very close race that came down to the final event of the year.  Women's Tennis had 100 percent of its members making the AD 3.0 club and 76.17 percent attendance at Bulldog Bash events. Second place Volleyball had an 87.94 percent attendance and 83.33 percent of the members on the 3.0 club.

According to SAAC advisor Julie Torbett, “It is a fun competition that really helps promote our home events. We provide free food to all students in attendance so it is a way for the athletes to socialize with other students while supporting our teams.”
