Men's Tennis Defeated 7-0 by #69 Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team was swept 7-0 by Furman on Sunday afternoon at the Mikel Tennis Center.
The Paladins, who are ranked 69th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, claimed the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches. The Bulldogs' pairing of Joe May and Nicolai Nonnenbroich nearly upset Furman's Chris Rhyne and Andrei Chvetsov in the No. 2 doubles match; however, Rhyne and Chvetsov pulled out a 8-7 victory.
Furman was victorious in all six singles matches.
UNC Asheville is on the road again on Saturday as it takes on Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C. at 1 p.m.
