Women's Tennis Defeats Appalachian State, 6-1

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team got its first win on the season on Sunday evening as it defeated Appalachian State 6-1 at the Asheville Racquet Club.
The Bulldogs (1-1) won two doubles matches to receive the doubles point.
Leslie Smith, Stephanie Schon, Devon Cavanaugh, Nicole Schon and Louise Bottomley all won their singles matches.
Appalachian State falls to 0-2 with the loss.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday as they will host Kennesaw State at Asheville School at noon. Appalachian State plays on Saturday against Radford in Blacksburg, Va.
