Bulldog Tennis Teams Begin Fall Season at Brevard Fall Classic

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville men's and women's tennis teams will begin the 2008-2009 season on Friday at the Brevard Fall Classic in Brevard, N.C.

During the fall season, college tennis players participate in individual tournaments unlike the dual team matches that occur in the spring season.
Head coach Lise Gregory says the fall season helps her and the team prepare for the regular season in the spring.
“In the fall you really work on things,” said Gregory. “You make any changes you're going to make and you figure out where your players are going be in the lineup. At the same time, tennis is one of those sports where you need a ton of match practice, so this competition is a good opportunity for our team to get that practice.”
