DeRatt & Mattison Continue to Play in the Minor Leagues

Former UNC Asheville pitcher Alan DeRatt appeared in one game this week for the Casper Ghosts of the Pioneer League.

DeRatt came on in relief on Sunday at Ogden and pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed three hits but struck out three. The Big South Pitcher of the Year lowered his ERA to 6.46. He has 18 strikeouts in 15.1 innings of work.

Former Bulldog outfielder Kevin Mattison continues to play a great deal for the Jamestown Jammers of the New York Penn League. Mattison played in six of seven games over the past week and started in center field. He had at last one hit in four of the six games he played.

Mattison is now hitting .215 with five doubles, two triples, one home run and 10 RBI. He has stolen six bases and that's third best on the Jamestown squad.
