ASU Edges Women's Tennis, 4-3

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State won four singles matches and that was enough to just slip by UNC Asheville 4-3 in women's college tennis action.
The Bulldogs (5-7) were able to get the doubles point as the doubles team of Stephanie Schon/Leslie Smith and Louise Bottomley/Nicole Schon won their matches easily.
In singles action, Stephanie Schon won her match over Amanda Cash in three sets. Nicole Schon won her match over Elizabeth Holland, 6-1, 6-4. But Asheville just couldn't get another win in singles action and fell to the Lady Apps by one point.
