Women's Tennis Downs Mars Hill, 5-0; Men's Match Postponed

ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville women's tennis team defeated Mars Hill 5-0 in a rain-shortened match at the UNC Asheville Tennis Center Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (5-5) were able to get a point before the match started because Mars Hill had to default at #6. Asheville then got singles victories from Leslie Smith, Louise Bottomley, Stephanie Schon and Nicole Schon to seal its second straight win.

The doubles were not played due to the rain. The men's match scheduled for Friday against Mars Hill was postponed due to the rain.
