ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team will play host to Lees-McRae at the Asheville Racquet Club Sunday afternoon starting at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Bulldogs opened the 2008 season last week with a 7-0 victory over North Carolina A&T. Asheville dominated the match winning all six singles match in straight sets and dominating the doubles points.

Senior Whitney Abbott led the Bulldogs last week as she won her match 6-1, 6-0. She and Tania Mateva won their doubles match, 8-2. Asheville also got singles victories from Louise Bottomley, Leslie Smith, Nicole Schon, Stephanie Schon and Mateva.
