Bulldog Tennis Hosts First Ever Play Day

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's and women's tennis teams held their first annual Bulldog Play Day Saturday morning at the UNC Asheville Tennis Center.
The format had close to 20 players from throughout the community play doubles with members of both Bulldog tennis squads. Head Coach Lise Gregory was delighted with her first Play Day.
"We had great participation this morning and some pretty good tennis, too," commented Gregory. "We plan to do one of these each semseter. It should be a great deal of fun as we grow this event even bigger."
The men's division had Josh Vandergrift taking first place, followed by Tom Ruffing taking second. In the women's division, Amy Gaston captured first place with Karen Brown taking second.
