ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Louise Bottomley was a three set winner at number two singles but that was the only point UNC Asheville would get in a 6-1 loss to Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday afternoon at the UNCA Tennis Center.
Bottomley won her fifth match of the season defeating Stephanie Boucher 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. The Panthers (6-8, 2-4 Big South) took the other five singles points along with a sweep in the doubles competition. Asheville (3-10, 0-6 Big South) saw its three match win streak come to an end.
