CHARLESTON, S.C. ? Senior defender Kate Barrow and junior forward Robyn Busha earned second team Big South All-Conference honors Wednesday night at the league's annual awards banquet.

In addition, sophomore goalkeeper Veronica Lazar made the Big South All-Academic team for her work in the classroom.

Barrow has enjoyed a standout career for the Bulldogs and been a starter for all four of her years with the UNC Asheville program. She started in 14 matches this year and scored a goal in a victory over VMI on Oct. 28. Barrow was an all-tournament performer last season when the Bulldogs won the Big South Tournament.

Busha is Asheville's leading scorer for the second straight year. She enters the tournament with eight goals, three assists for 19 points. It's the second straight year Busha has made the second team after earning first team honors as a freshman. She is fifth all-time at UNC Asheville in goals scored with 28.

The Bulldogs are the seventh seed in this year's Big South Tournament and take on second-seeded Charleston Southern Thursday night at Blackbaud Stadium starting at 7 p.m.
