Women's Soccer Has Barrow & Lazar Make All-Tournament Team

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The UNC Asheville women's soccer team had two players make the all-tournament at the conclusion of the 2007 Big South Conference Tournament that was held at Blackbaud Stadium this past weekend.
Senior defender Kate Barrow and sophomore goalkeeper Veronica Lazar both made the 12-person team that was announced following the championship game that was won by High Point on penalty kicks over top-seeded Coastal Carolina, 5-3.
Lazar was sensational in the tournament as she made 17 saves in the Asheville's two matches. She made two stops in the Bulldogs, 4-2 Penalty Kick win over Charleston Southern in the quarterfinals.
Barrow made the all-tournament team for the second straight year and third time in her career. The senior defender did a great job leading the Bulldog defense in the tournament and allowing just two goals in two matches.
