CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina won the doubles points and won four singles matches to edge UNC Asheville, 5-2 in Big South Conference men's tennis action Thursday afternoon at the Chanticleer Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs got singles victories from Loic Hereson and Tyler Begg. Hereson, playing at #1, downed Davis Mellis, 7-6, 6-1. Begg played at #6 and won handily over Ryan Weisband, 7-5, 6-4. Rob Nunnery and Hereson won their doubles matches, 8-5.
UNC Asheville plays today at UNC Wilmington starting at 1 p.m. Due to injuries, the Bulldog women's tennis team did not compete at Coastal Carolina and will not play today at UNC Wilmington.
