2020-21 Season (Freshman) - Woods saw action in eight games for Asheville during her freshman season in 2020-21...She made her debut as a Bulldog on December 6 vs. Wofford...Her top performance of the season came on January 15 at Charleston Southern where she netted four 3-pointers on her way to scoring a season-high 14 points...Overall, Woods logged 99 minutes of playing time as a freshman...She scored 26 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, blocked one shot, and shot 40 percent from the field that included a 37.5 percent shooting clip from 3-point range.
Before UNC Asheville - Woods was a local standout out of North Buncombe High School where she was a three-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball and track). The 5-10 guard joined the 1,000 point club in her sophomore season when she averaged 24.1 points per game and led all of Western North Carolina in scoring...After her sophomore season, Woods was named All-WNC, All-District First Team and All-State First Team...As a varsity starter during her freshman season, she was named WNC All-Conference and was the sixth leading scorer in WNC with 17.6 points per game. Woods was also named the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference Tournament MVP as well as MVP All-WNC, All-District and All-State during her freshman season. She missed her junior season due to injury...Woods was recently awarded the “Edward Jones Blue Chip Scholar Athlete” award for the 2019-20 year and has a 4.125 weighted GPA. She has been a Scholastic “A” honor roll honoree in all four of her high school years...Woods was also a star on the volleyball court as she was a three-year starter. She was named All-Conference during her sophomore season when she led the conference with 300 kills. In track, she was named All-Conference in the Long Jump and 100 Meter during her freshman season.
