2018: Named Big South Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 15, 2018 ... Started and played in all 16 games ... Was one of two Bulldogs to start all 16 games ... Scored a single-season career-best two goals, which included a game-winning goal versus Hampton ... Tallied a three-point game at Longwood, as she scored a goal and tallied an assist ... Finished with 21 shots and put nine on goal ... Played a single-season career-high 1,285 minutes of action.
2017: Did not play due to injury.
2016: Saw action in 16 games over the course of the season ... The defender made 12 starts on the year ... In 944 minutes on the pitch in total for the Bulldogs she finished the season with two assists ... Took 14 shots on the year with six on goal.
2015: Played in 18 games with two starts … Ended season with seven shots and one goal overall.
Before UNC Asheville: Graduate of Cary High School and a former member of the ’96 CASL Elite soccer club … As a member of CASL Elite, she led her team to winning the Southern Regional Championships in 2013 … At Cary, Kandel was a varsity starting player for all four years … She also earned Academic All- Conference honors as a freshman … Her junior year she was the team’s leading scorer with 10 goals which helped lead her to All-Conference honors in 2014.
