Kelly joined the Mission Sports Medicine team at UNC Asheville in the summer of 2021, where she currently provides primary coverage for the men’s soccer and women’s basketball teams. In addition to caring for athletes, she is a preceptor for the athletic training program at WCU.

Prior to her arrival in Asheville, Kelly spent two years at Central Arkansas as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She worked with the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams and served as a preceptor for the athletic training education programs. While at Central Arkansas, she earned her Master of Science in exercise and sport science.

Additionally, Kelly served as an intern athletic trainer at Upper Iowa University working with the women’s cross-country and women’s lacrosse teams. She served as a preceptor for the athletic training education program.

A native of Reidsville, North Carolina, Kelly was an athletic training student aide in high school, helping her athletic trainer with multiple sports over four years. Her passion for helping others and sports led her to UNC Charlotte, where she received a Bachelor of Science in athletic training after completing clinical rotations at local high schools and within UNC Charlotte athletics.
