Bio
2024-25 Season (Junior Year): Played in six games and made one start for the Bulldogs before undergoing a season-ending injury...Had a career-high five rebounds at Ohio on Nov. 9 and three steals against St. Andrews on Dec. 7.
PRIOR TO UNC ASHEVILLE
Rubio joins Asheville after spending the 2023-24 season at Central Michigan. The 6-6 guard/forward averaged 6.6 points per game, shooting 40% from 3-point range, 2.2 rebounds per game, and recorded 18 blocks in 24 games played last season. Rubio is a native of Flint, Mich.
Before playing at Central Michigan, Rubio played at Macomb Community College in 2022-23 and was selected as a JUCO All-American as Rubio led Macomb C.C. to a national runner-up finish in the NJCAA title game.
