Andrea started her coaching responsibilities in the fall of 2019 with the UNC Asheville cheer and dance team. Andrea comes to UNC Asheville from Mars Hill University where she was the head cheerleading coach from 2016-2017.
A graduate of Mars Hill, Andrea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business in 2009. Andrea was a member of the Mars Hill cheerleading team and served as captain in 2008, and 2009. Prior to coaching at Mars Hill, Andrea coached Competitive Cheerleading from 2005-2015. She choreographed and led her teams ranging from ages 5-18 helping them earn many national titles. A passion of Andreas was getting to assist in coaching the special needs.
Andrea has more than 14 years of cheerleading experience and has worked with the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) and National Cheerleading Association (NCA), and she has coached high school scholastic cheer and All-Star cheerleading. Andrea Has choreographed many high school state routines for schools across western North Carolina and the Upstate. Andrea is AACCA certified and is also CPR/AED certified. She is a proud member of the Erwin Youth League Board and enjoys choreographing for their cheerleaders each year.
Andrea resides in Asheville NC. She is happily married to her husband Justin, and the couple has a daughter, Anna Belle, and a son, Lane.
