2022-23 Season (Junior) - Went 11-2 in doubles play at No. 2 with Ari Siegel...All-Conference First Team Doubles selection...Also went 13-3 in singles play including 4-2 in conference at No. 2...Also named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete.Â
2021-22 Season (Sophomore) - Steenkamp was a top player for Asheville both in singles & doubles in 2021-22...The South African native posted a record of 12-2 in singles and a 13-2 tally in doubles tilts...For all of her successes, Steenkamp earned All-Big South Second Team honors in both singles and doubles...Was named the Big South Player of the Week on February 16.Â
2020-21 Season (Freshman) -Â Notched a 3-2 record in singles play, with all matches against Big South foes ... Earned a 2-0 record at the No. 6 flight, and a 1-1 record at the No. 5 flight ... 6-1, 6-0 singles victory against Campbell helped the Bulldogs gut out a 4-3 win ... Competed at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights in doubles action, playing a match at each flight.
Prior to Asheville -Â Represented Fed Cup team for South Africa in Lithuania in 2017...Represented South Africa across the world several times in her career as such in Africa, the UK, Japan, Botswana and the US.
