Overview: Will compete for starting setter spot after starting for part of the season last year…hard worker who will serve as a captain this year…excellent student who has also served as President of UNC Asheville’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee…made the Big South All-Academic team for volleyball.
2008: Played in 126 games…led team in assists (844) and was second in service aces (26) plus third in digs (261)…tied career high in assists against Charleston Southern (10-17) with 62 as she also had six kills and 13 digs…near triple-double at Presbyterian (11-11) with 36 assists, 11 digs and eight kills…was in double figures for digs in 14 matches…posted three service aces and 10 digs in victory at Western Carolina (9-16)…had two blocks in five different matches…registered six kills in three consecutive matches at Gardner-Webb (10-14), Charleston Southern (10-17) and Coastal Carolina (10-18).
2007: Only played in 45 games in 21 matches after a successful freshman season...season-high 61 assists in a four-game match against Radford on Nov. 2, also had 55 assists in regular-season finale against Presbyterian on Nov. 10...had four double-figure dig matches with a season-high 11 digs against Radford. Had 10 digs against Kennesaw State, USC Upstate, and Presbyterian...season-high 12 points against Presbyterian with eight kills, three service aces, and two block assists.
2006: Played in 125 of 126 games and was third in the Big South averaging 11.27 assists per game...her 1,409 assists were the sixth most by an Asheville setter in a single-season...had 10 double-doubles and one triple-double...recorded 14 kills, 13 digs, and 50 assists against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 7...had a season-high 62 assists and 16 digs at Charleston Southern, Nov. 3...recorded 10 kills vs. Radford, Oct.1...had a season-high six blocks against High Point, Oct. 22...four service aces twice, first vs. Nicholls State, Sept. 9 and again against Liberty, Sept. 29.
Before UNC Asheville: Named Alabama 6A Player of the Year as well as being tabbed all-city, all-area, and all-state in both 2004 and 2005 for Grissom High School...led Grissom HS to the Alabama State Championship in 2003 and was state runner up in both 2004 and 2005...also played for NASA Juniors club that won 2003 and 2005 region titles while being ranked 11th in the nation in 2004 and 23rd in the country in 2005...broke Grissom’s all-time assist record held by former Bulldog Amanda Wiles.
