Bulldogs Complete Second Round of Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team completed the second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Monday at the par-71, 6,004-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
The Bulldogs carded a second-round 305 (+21) and sit in 18th place with a two-day total of 600 (+32). Asheville opened the tournament Sunday with a 295 (+11).
Breanna Hoese continues to lead the Bulldogs individually, sitting tied for 14th place at 1-over par through 36 holes. Hoese followed her opening-round 69 (-2) with a 74 (+3) on Monday for a two-round score of 143.
Jordyn Arts also turned in a 74 (+3) during Monday's second round. Arts sits tied for 37th at 5-over with a 147 after rounds of 73 and 74.
Praelyn Jirasaraikul enters Tuesday's final round tied for 71st at 9-over. Jirasaraikul shot a 77 (+6) Monday after opening the tournament with a 74, bringing her 36-hole total to 151.
Ella Moynihan posted an 80 (+9) for the second consecutive day and sits tied for 110th with a two-round total of 160 (+18). Sydney Craven rounds out Asheville's lineup following rounds of 79 and 95.
Asheville enters the final round just one stroke behind 17th-place Mercer and five strokes behind 16th-place Arkansas State. The Bulldogs are five strokes ahead of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and also remain ahead of fellow Big South members USC Upstate and Presbyterian.
UNC Wilmington leads the 23-team field through 36 holes at 3-under, while High Point sits second at 1-over and Campbell is third at 2-over.
The Golfweek Fall Challenge concludes Tuesday with the third and final round from Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
