Justin Wright Signs First Professional Contract with KK Kolubara Lazarevac

Lazarevac, Serbia – Recent UNC Asheville men's basketball graduate Justin Wright has signed his first professional contract with KK Kolubara Lazarevac.
Wright joins the Serbian club following a strong 2025-26 season with the Bulldogs, where he established himself as one of the top guards in the Big South Conference. He averaged 17.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while leading the team with 38 steals and a .788 free throw percentage.
The Greenville, N.C., native scored a career-high 33 points against Georgia Southern on Nov. 8, 2025, matched his career high with eight assists on two occasions, knocked down a career-best five three-pointers against Morris on Nov. 18, 2025, and converted a career-high 14 free throws in Asheville's Big South Championship quarterfinal victory over Longwood on March 6.
His ability to control the tempo, create offense, knock down perimeter shots, and defend opposing guards made him one of the Bulldogs' most valuable players throughout the season.
According to KK Kolubara Lazarevac, Wright's ability as a pick-and-roll ball handler and shot creator made him an ideal fit for the club's system. The organization highlighted his efficiency in isolation situations, finishing around the rim, perimeter shooting off the dribble, and strong assist-to-turnover ratio as key factors in bringing him to Lazarevac.
