Lucas Boesen Named Big South Conference Starting Pitcher of the Week

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE RELEASE
 
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior Lucas Boesen was named the Big South Conference Starting Pitcher of the Week to close out the regular season's weekly awards, announced by the league today (Monday, May 18).
 
Boesen picked up his third win of the year last Friday (May 15) firing eight shutout innings against Regular Season Champion High Point while striking out a career-high 11, allowing just three hits and walking five.
 
This is Boesen's first career Big South Conference weekly honor. The Las Vegas, Nev. native graduated from UNC Asheville with a bachelor's degree in business.
