Track and Field Set to Host Bulldog Invite

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — The UNC Asheville Track and Field team prepares to host the third annual Bulldog Invite this Friday and Saturday (April 10-11) at the Karl Straus Track.
Field events will commence at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, starting with the women's high jump. Track events will open with the women's 100m hurdles at 5:15 p.m. Results for all events will be available here. For a finalized schedule, click here.

LAST TIME OUT
A school record, 17 top-ten individual finishes, and a relay victory highlighted Asheville's weekend in Raleigh and Davidson.
Aneta Kucerová broke a 13-year school record at the Raleigh Relays, crossing the line in 10:18.97 in the women's 3,000m steeplechase. She placed 17th overall and now holds the fifth fastest time in Big South history. Kucerová's standout performance earned her the title of Big South Co-Women's Track Athlete of the Week (announced April 1).
Asheville's 4x400m relay "A" team secured a win in the final event of the Davidson Relays, crossing the line in 3:17.00 with the team of Jalice Payton, Shemarr Session, Braelin June, and Jeremiah Louis.
Session led the Bulldogs to finish second in the men's 110m hurdles with his time of 14.80, and Payton also delivered a strong performance in the men's 400m to take second-place in 48.21.
On the infield, Madison Hannah represented Asheville with a fifth-place finish in the discus, throwing 43.37m. Hannah also finished ninth in the hammer throw with 41.07m. Jaelyn Arnold finished eighth in the shot put at 12.30m.
SENIOR DAY
Asheville will recognize its senior class at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday during the meet.
FOOD VENDORS
Friday will feature food options from 6 Pigs BBQ and Dirty Soda, and Sweet Retreat, while Saturday's lineup will include Cactus Rainbow, White Rabbit, 6 Pigs BBQ, and Sweet Retreat, offering a variety of options for fans and participants to enjoy during the competition.
