Bulldogs Sign Tylon Chatman to 2026 Class

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's basketball head coach Mike Morrell announced Friday (April 10) that Tylon Chatman has signed his National Letter of Intent and will join the Bulldogs for the 2026–27 season.
Chatman, a 6-foot junior transfer guard, comes to Asheville from Lee University, a Division II program in Cleveland, Tennessee. In three seasons with the Flames, he appeared in 63 games, averaging 26.9 minutes and 11.0 points per game. He totaled 169 career assists and 47 steals, while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from three-point range.
This past season, Chatman averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game, while again shooting better than 37 percent from beyond the arc.
A native of Brownsville, Tennessee, Chatman attended Haywood High School, where he averaged 19.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
