Breanna Hoese Earns Big South Golfer of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Breanna Hoese of the UNC Asheville women's golf team has been named Big South Women's Co-Golfer of the Week. The league office made the announcement today (Thursday, March 26).

Hoese finished fifth at the Bentwater Women's Collegiate (par 72, 6,159 yards) with an 11-over 227 (74-77-76). She posted her highest finish of the season, and was the Bulldogs' top scorer for the first time this year. Hoese tied for the fourth-most birdies in the field with seven, and was among the leaders in par-4 scoring (4.23).

She shares the honor with Longwood's Madison Lehr.

Hoese and the women's golf program will be back in action April 6-8 at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge in Pawleys Island, S.C.
