Bulldogs Blank North Greenville for Fourth Straight Win

TIGERVILLE, S.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis blanked North Greenville 7-0 on Monday (Mar. 2) for the team's fourth straight win. The Bulldogs have now posted win streaks of at least four matches in each of the last five seasons dating back to 2021-22.
 
Angelina Joy Hug and Sofia Segui began doubles play with a 6-1 win over Adriana Flores and Mikayla McKenzie at No. 1, before Valeria Centeno and Isabella Moss clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 2 over Abigail Watson and Julia Machado.
 
Moss dispatched Machado in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 to start singles play, before Avery Sager took care of McKenzie 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3. Hug would then defeat Watson 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1, before Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon would beat Lauren Harrelson 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 at No. 5. Segui would post a 6-3, 6-2 win over Flores at No. 4, before Centeno would polish off the shutout with a 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 win over Andjela Mrvaljevic at No. 6.
