Leigha Travis Named Atlantic Sun Conference Diver of the Week

FULL ATLANTIC SUN CONFERENCE RELEASE

ATLANTA, Ga. - UNC Asheville junior Leigha Travis has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Diver of the Week, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Sept. 30).

On Saturday (Sept. 27) at Davidson, Travis posted a score of 228.80 in the 1M and a score of 229.05 in the 3M. She only finished four points out of second place in both events.

"I'm super proud of Leigha's performance this past weekend!" said diving coach Bailey Betzer. "She showed up and got the job done! This was a really great way to kick off the season I'm really excited to continue this positive momentum throughout the rest of the season."

This is Travis's first career ASUN Diver of the Week honor. The Covington, Ky. native is a communications major.

The Bulldogs return to the water on Oct. 18 to face East Carolina and Campbell. The action is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. from Buies Creek, N.C.
