ASHEVILLE, N.C. - A late goal saw UNC Asheville Women's Soccer drop its Big South Conference opener to visiting Charleston Southern on Saturday (Sept. 20) at Greenwood Field.

In just the second minute, Shae Hassig posted a header off the crossbar for Asheville's first good chance of the contest. In the sixth minute, a ball was lofted behind the Charleston Southern defense that Kendall Powell was able to catch up to.
