ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer hosts Georgia State on Tuesday (Aug. 26), before traveling to Queens (N.C.) on Sunday (Aug. 31). The match against Georgia State is also University Appreciation Day.

The UNC Asheville men's soccer team defeated Howard 2-1 in Thursday night's home opener in a 2-1 match, with goals from Charlie Wood and Rodrigo Mendes. Both Rodrigo Mendes and Arnor Hardarson collected career firsts: Mendes first goal as a Bulldog and Hardarson's first career assist. Thursday's victory brought the Bulldogs season opener streak to three wins in a row and marked the first win for new head coach Danny Frid.
