UNC Asheville Athletics Announces 2025-26 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville has announced its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board for the 2025-26 academic year.
Volleyball senior Avery Loeback will serve as this year's President, while women's soccer senior Jordan Schaetzly will serve as Vice President.Â
The following student-athletes will help serve on the SAAC Leadership Team:Â

Kylie Cackovic (VB)
Sam Hulsey (XC/TF)
Kate Bennett (Golf)
 "UNC Asheville Athletics and the Big South Conference have made conscious efforts to include student-athletes in decisions that impact their experiences. I am excited about the students who have been elected this year to serve on the executive board," said Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance/Senior Woman Administrator Erin Spence. "The UNC Asheville SAAC took great strides in the last school year, and these newly elected executives were heavily involved in that success. I look forward to working with these leaders to create more opportunities for involvement."
SAAC is a leadership group consisting of student-athletes representing all sports at UNC Asheville. The UNC Asheville SAAC provides insight into the student-athlete experience and offers input on the rules, regulations, and policies that affect student-athletes' lives. SAAC members serve as a conduit of communication among student-athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators in an effort to improve the student-athlete experience. Â
