Women’s Golf Adds Breanna Hoese to 2025-26 Roster
06.09.2025 | Women's Golf
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women's golf head coach Ross Cash announced on Monday (June 9) the addition of Breanna Hoese to the 2025-26 roster.
"Breanna brings us another proven, extremely high-level college golfer," Cash said. "Her NCAA accomplishments are many, from the All Big South Freshman team two years ago, multiple rounds shot under par, and also 54-hole tournaments with finishing scores under par in college golf over the last two years. She is well-known and highly respected among our current roster and is seen as a great addition to our program. She will have a great final two years here as a Bulldog."
Hoese transfers to Asheville from Big South Conference member Longwood. While at Longwood this past season, Hoese earned six top-50 finishes, with her best finish of the season being at the UNCG Collegiate, where she finished fourth out of 55 competitors. Hoese finished that tournament 1-under par. Her average score on the season was a 77.7, and she played in 21 rounds.
During her freshman campaign, she was named to the All-Freshman team and helped Longwood qualify for match play at the Big South Championship for the first time in team history. Hoese posted two of the team's nine lowest rounds on the season and notched a one-under 70 in the third and final round at the Elon Women's Invitational. She tied for 26 at the Big South Championship with a 77-81-77—235 (+19), her best finish of her freshman year.
Hoese is from Austin, Texas, and played varsity golf for four seasons at Vandergrift High School. She helped lead the team to the 6A State Championship, the first title in team history.
