ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis will take on Rider in the quarterfinal of the UTR NIT Championships on Wednesday (May 7).

About UNC Asheville - Asheville comes into the tournament at 12-9 on the season after a runner-up finish in the Big South Conference Championship. Asheville has a 58-55 combined singles record as well as a 25-25 combined doubles record. Tarek Erlewein leads the way in doubles play with 12 wins, while Freddy Murray has 11 and Cian Ingles has nine. Olle Sonesson Lidholt has eight wins, while Sai Gandepalli has seven and Trevor Gray has six. Luke Ruecker and Griffin Lovern each have two wins in singles play, while Alex English also has one. Gandepalli/Lovern lead the way in doubles play with six wins, while Lovern and Erlewein also have four wins in doubles. Three doubles pairs each have three wins, while Lidholt and Erlewein have two wins as a tandem. Four other doubles pairs each have one win on the season.Â

Nathan Slattery has five wins, while Matthew Griscti has four and Roger Martinez and Cooper Dillon each have three wins. Giacomo Ghitti also has two wins in singles play. Dahlin/Tangri and Martinez/Thurgur each have seven wins in doubles play, while Dillon/Engstrom have six wins as a pair.
