UNC Asheville Athletics Announces Third Annual Staff Awards

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone announced several staff award winners at a luncheon hosted by Rye Knot on Friday, May 23.
"Recognizing and celebrating our coaches and athletics staff for their commitment and effort is incredibly fulfilling," said Cone. "This year's award recipients truly represent what it means to be a Bulldog. I am proud to have them as part of our department and deeply grateful for the positive influence they have on our student-athletes."
Inclusion Award: Dr. Laura Jones, Coordinator of Bulldog Mental Health Services
Excellence Award: Dani Nicosia, Assistant Athletic Director for Digital and Creative Branding
Servant Leader Award: Erin Spence, Senior Woman Administrator and Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance
Dedication Award: Rebecca Nelms, Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Success
This is the third year the athletics department has presented its staff and coaches with an annual awards luncheon. The awards align with the Bulldogs' strategic plan, Dream Bigger. Achieve More. and specifically, with the department's desire to create a culture of distinction.
