Guepet Ties Program Record for Most Big South Freshman of the Week Honors in a Season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –
UNC Asheville golf freshman Morgan Guepet has tied the program record for most Big South Conference Freshman of the Week honors, as Guepet earned her fourth weekly recognition following her performance at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. The league made the announcement on Thursday (April 3). 

Guepet's four weekly honors ties with former Bulldog Taylor Hinson, who earned the freshman weekly honor four times during the 2017-18 season. 

Guepet finished tied for 21st at Pawleys Island, with rounds of 75-76-72. Guepet led Asheville, averaging 2.93 on par 3s, and was second on the team with 33 pars and seven birdies. 

Guepet and the Bulldogs are preparing for the Big South Conference Championships held April 13-16 at the Ocean Creek Golf Course at Fripp Island, S.C.
