Bulldogs Pick Up 5-2 Conference Win over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis picked up a 5-2 Big south Conference win over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday (Mar. 26) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.

Asheville captured the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before winning four out of six singles matches to secure the victory.

Ari Siegel and Keira Stewart picked up a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles over Azilee Poulin and Greta Murzsa, before Avery Sager and Louise Booker clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Milica Prokic and Natalie Crawford.

Elizabeth Tindera began singles play leading 5-1 before her opponent retired, before Angelina Joy Hug posted a 7-6, 6-2 win over Pulin at No. 2. Gardner-Webb would pick up wins at No. 5 and No. 1, before Valeria Centeno clinched the match with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win over Murzsa at No. 6. Booker would finish things up with a 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4.
