Bulldogs Take Down Wofford in 4-3 Thriller on Wednesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis was able to down Wofford in a 4-3 thriller on Wednesday (Mar. 19) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
Asheville dropped the doubles point despite Freddy Murray and Cian Ingles leading 5-3 at No. 1 at the clinch point, as the Bulldogs trailed 1-0 headed to singles play.
Sai Gandepalli got Asheville on the board with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Ian Rasheed at No. 4, Olle Sonesson Lidholt beat Danile Clivio 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 to give Asheville a 2-1 lead. Wofford responded with two singles wins to put them ahead 3-2, before Ingles would tie the match with a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 6-3 win over Jack Burdell at No. 5. Trevor Gray would clinch the match in dramatic fashion at No. 6 with a 5-7, 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 win over Hugo Rask.
