Asheville Takes Down The Citadel in Battle of the Bulldogs on Wednesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis took down The Citadel 5-2 in a battle of Bulldogs on Wednesday (Mar. 12).
Asheville dropped the doubles point despite Sai Gandepalli and Griffin Lovern beating Diego Ladino and Ted Bagwell 7-5 at No. 2, before rallying to win five of six singles matches for the victory. Tarek Erlewein started singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Bagwell at No. 2, Gray beat Anthony Osipov at No. 5 6-0, 6-2. Alex English would pick up a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 over Graham Hardin, before Cian Ingles clinched the win with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Bradey Minnich at No. 3. Freddy Murray further Asheville's lead with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Noah Van Dyke at No. 1, before a Citadel win at No. 4 brought the match to its final score.
