Bulldogs Grind Out 4-3 Win over Davidson

CONWAY, S.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis was able to grind out a 4-3 win over Davidson on Saturday (Feb. 15) in non-conference action.

Asheville would rally for two doubles wins to take the doubles point, before winning three out of six singles matches for the clinch.

After Davidson won the first doubles match at No. 1, Sai Gandepalli and Trevor Gray would even things up at No. 3 with a 6-4 win over Charlie Ratliff and Davide Procacci. Olle Sonesson Lidholt and Freddy Murray would then win the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-3) win over Uddayvir Singh and Nikhil Mukherjee at No. 2.

Gray would put Asheville ahead 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Ratliff at No. 5, before Davidson would get one back at No. 6 and another at No. 3. Lidholt would grind out a 6-2, 7-6 (4-0) win over Nico Pinzon at No. 4 to put Asheville ahead 3-2, before Davidson would win at No. 2 to tie things up 3-3. Murray would gut out a 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 win over Singh at No. 1 to clinch the match.
