Men’s Basketball Adds Two Signees in Class of 2026

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's basketball head coach Mike Morrell announced Friday (Nov. 14) that Ian Bailey and Logan Johnson have signed their national letters of intent and will join the Bulldog Basketball Program next season.
Ian Bailey comes to Asheville as one of the area's top prospects. The Weaverville, N.C., native attends Asheville Christian Academy and is a 6-4 point guard. Last season, Bailey was named first-team All-WNC and was a NCISAA 3A All-State selection after averaging 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. Last month, Bailey earned the NC Top 80 MVP honor announced by Phenom Hoops.
Logan Johnson is a 6-5 combo guard attending Carmel Christian, where current Bulldog Kameron Taylor attended. Before Carmel Christian, Johnson attended Ambassador Christian School, where he played on varsity from eighth grade to his junior year. In his junior year, Johnson averaged 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Both Bailey and Johnson rank in the top 20 in the state, according to Phenom Hoops: Bailey 15th and Johnson 18th.
