HOME OPENER RECAP
- The Bulldogs defeated the Lipscomb Bisons 69-64 on Tuesday (November 11) in their first game at home this season.
- Senior guard Justin Wright led the way, matching his career high in made three-pointers and scoring 20 of his 29 points in the second half. He was 10-for-15 from the field and perfect from the free-throw line.
- Forward Kameron Taylor contributed 16 points (11 in the second half), grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out five assists.
- The team shot 50% from the field, 6-for-17 from deep, and 5-for-24 from free throws. They scored 32 points in the paint.
- The Bulldogs led throughout the first half, extended the lead to double digits at one point, but Lipscomb fought back, and the second half featured 12 lead changes and six ties. Asheville, however, did not allow Lipscomb to lead by more than three points.
- With 1:51 remaining and down by one, Wright completed a three-point play to take the lead, then hit two free throws with 13 seconds left to extend the margin to four. After a final Lipscomb dunk, Taylor sealed the win with three free throws in the final seconds.

- Through the first three games of the season, Wright is averaging 23.3 points per game, is 12-12 from the free throw line, and 8-14 from three-point range.
- Wright is No. 1 in the nation and the Big South in free-throw percentage.
- No. 10 in the nation and No. 2 in the league in field goals with 25.
- No. 12 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big South in points with 70.
- No. 22 in the nation and No. 2 in the league in points per game (23.3).
- No. 49 in the nation and No. 3 in the league in 3-point percentage (57.1).
A LOOK AT BRYAN
- The Lions are 1-4 and will play tonight (Nov. 12) against Truett McConnell, whom the Bulldogs played in their exhibition game back on Oct. 28.
- Bryan is a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference in the NAIA. The Lions were predicted to finish 11th out of the 13-team league.
- Bryan is led by first-year head coach Jason Laatsch, who comes to Bryan after three years as an assistant coach at Lee University. Before Lee, he served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Lipscomb.
- The Lions return All-AAC First-Team selection Dalen Gales, who averaged 21.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. Bryan also returns Regale Moore, who was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team after averaging 8.0 points per game last year.
NOV. 13 IN ASHEVILLE HISTORY
- Thursday marks the 14th anniversary of Kimmel Arena's opening. Asheville's first game in the arena was against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Nov. 13, 2011.
- In honor of tomorrow's game being the 14th anniversary of the opening of Kimmel Arena, one lucky fan can enter to win a piece of the court from the original floor.
